Women’s Issues
“There cannot be true democracy unless women’s voices are heard. There cannot be true democracy unless women are given the opportunity to take responsibility for their own lives. There cannot be true democracy unless all citizens are able to participate fully in the lives of their country.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, First Lady, July 11, 1997

You cannot leave democracy to itself you must participate. If you do not participate then someone else will be telling you what to do, how to live your life, how to raise your children, what mate is acceptable and what God you should worship, how you should worship this God and censor you. The American woman has a chance in history to make a difference but she cannot waste her energy fighting over her breast and bust size. Nor can she waste her energy retaking a hill she won in 1984. Let us take this hill once and for all and make the VAW Act and the right to health care a Constitutional amendment and be done with it. If you are scare put your head between you knees, scream then get up and confront the enemy facing you. You will either stand up or your daughter will die in a field with some man shoving his penis down her throat. Sexual violence is real and who gets raped in more ways than one is the woman. You must practice believing in yourself just as you practice not believing in yourself. Weakness is not a character flaw it is just a behavior you practice too often. A woman’s greatest weakness which often leads to her death is the need to feel warm and secure.
